A visit to Sibu!

DAY 1 (15 March 2011)
Reached Kuching International Airport at 6am. Like a walking zombie, I wandered around the airport to look for Charles and Madam Voon. <fast forward> It's time to go into the gate, and something happened. CHARLES HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT HIS I.C. LOL
He called his dad, and in a blink of an eye(you know I'm lying) his dad reached with his IC. Thank God for making it on time, phew... After 20 minutes on plane, we reached the city which is well known for kongpia(not gong kia) and kampua mee. An officer from Sibu had arranged our transport to the hotel. We arrived at Li Hua Hotel after 20 minutes of journey on bus, finally lol.

We put down our luggage in the room and went down for a stroll in the small city. We had kampua for breakfast. Well, taste nothing special to me, I still like Kolo Mee more. xD
Time flies as we chit-chat, planning on what to do for the rest of the day. We also went to the Methodist Book Room. I bought 3 lovely key chains for my 3 lovely friends. xD

Nice aren't they? xD
In the afternoon, there is a workshop to prepare for the BCM tomorrow. Well there are some issues arose like constitutions of BBM, Girls' Section of Boys' Brigade(or we call  it as Girls' Wing) and caps of membership fee collection.

(caught you! look what he was doing during the workshop...speechless =.='')

It is interesting as those are new to me. I've never thought that we BB can have such a complex policy of membership. The workshop really opened up my eyes. Of course, there were arguments too between officers especially during the constitution session. I really salute Mr. Micheal Chong as he remained firm and smiling although he was being questioned several times in an unpleasant way. I'm not sure if I can do that. Haha! The session was concluded with the sharing from our National Brigade Chaplain, Rev. Richard Tok. He shared what he saw throughout the entire afternoon. He said something like this, "We must be wise in expressing our thoughts as words can hurt if not used properly. We should see the ministry of BB as in whole, not just within respective companies."

Yes, I strongly agreed with what he said. If we only stand in our own shoes and only look what is just in front of us, the Brigade will not be able to expand and improve. Interesting workshop! Dinner started as soon as the workshop ended. We were seriously hungry. Ugh... The dinner is in buffet style, the dishes tasted just nice. Not long after the dinner started, our boys arrived at the hotel. They joined us for the dinner too. They said Jin Tat treated them a meal in KFC in Kuching. JIN TAT WHERE IS MINE?! ROAR! Here are some pictures during our dinner haha!

                                   HAHAHAHA!!!
It was free time after our dinner. WOOHOO FREE TIME! We decided to go for a movie in Star Cineplex. To my disappointment, "Ghost Must Be Crazy" wasn't available. =__=''' Lousy cinema. Reluctantly, I joined Shii Kian and Charles in Big Momma. The movie wasn't bad! xD After that we went back to hotel and slept! What an interesting day!

DAY 2 (16 March 2011)
We kicked off our day with kampua, again LOL! After treating our tummy nicely, we put on our smart ceremonial uniform and marched towards KingWood Hotel. Road users were gluing their eyes on us as we took each step. COOL!
I was imagining how the meeting venue is going to look like. It should look like the parliamentary hall uh I guess. But it didn't. =.=
The arrangement reminds me of my secondary school classroom haha! And so the meeting was commenced by our Brigade President, Mr. Michael Moorthy. The flow of meeting is similar to our usual NCOCM, just that the meeting minutes was SO THICK LOL! Lots of issues were discussed, including money matters, constitution and bla bla bla. Too much to be put into a few sentences. The meeting was held the whole day. Tiring but I learnt new things. After that was the climax, the 50th Sarawak BB Anniversary cum 65th BBM Anniversary dinner. YES DINNER NOM NOM NOM. I will get fatter and fatter and fatter... lol
Ahh... Lazy to write about the dinner, I guess pictures speak thousands of words.

Chun Peng is baptised yay!
LOL... You are right, I'm too lazy to write a word. =.= Never mind, pictures are just nice!
So after the church parade, we WALKED back to our hotel. Nice experience though! Again, attention was on us! COOL YEAH! xD
We had a change and went out for a walk around the shopping complex as the boys will be going back in the evening(not me WOOHOO). Bla bla bla... Every shopping mall looks the same, that's what I can say. So no point elaborating more LOL
So... the boys were back, and it is dinner time! I took some breath-taking view...

Sir brought us to a seafood restaurant. Sadly, I didn't have a snap on the dishes =.= Want to know why? I was busy eating crabs and my hands were oily. CRAP ah =.=
Otherwise I will make my friend envy of me WAKAKAKA
After that, we went to pasar malam to search for monopoly, but sadly there aren't any. Lastly I found one in a bookshop. Haha! Before going back to hotel, we played at playground nearby as I've requested. Yahoo, feel like a kid again haha!
HAHAHA! What a fun time on the playground! We went back to hotel and this was what were doing until 2 a.m. LOL

That's all! The next day we flew back to Kuching... See you again Sibu!

It is indeed a nice trip! Thank God!
